Default Nitromodels ARF Long EZ Voyager .46

I am interested in the Nitromodels .46 Voyager ARF. It looks like a new a different aircraft to fly. Does anyone have any opinions or comments about the plane. If I buy it I'll put an OS 46 AX in it with Hitec flight-pak with HS 425 servos. Thanks, Tom

Tom, my son has one that he is reviewing for RCU Magazine. It's about 50% complete right now, and I have to say that it looks great so far. He said the manual is good and it's going together very easily. No word on flight performance yet, but one thing I can tell you is, you may need to modify or replace your muffler. For his, he used a Slimline Pitts style.

Mike, Is he using a .46 engine?? I have an OS 46 AX. What size pusher prop? What is the covering?? Mono-Kote or Ultar-Cote??
I have two Bisson Pitts mufflers. Will standard Hitec HS425 servos work???
Thanks, Tom

[]I have crashed mine 3 times just tying to get it off the ground. I was disappointed in the quality of the plane. It is not covered in monokote or ultracote. The covering is more like an econokote type covering. So far I wished I had not purchased this plane. I am going to try one last time to fly it and if it does not fly i am going to throw it in the trash.

we've been discussing this model in this thread:

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4271874/tm.htm

I'm currently using an OS 46AX to power my Long EZ, we're fixing the canard right now, I bent the landing gear back in shape no problem. Hope to perform "maiden flight #2" this week.

a guy at our field has one and he brought it out for the frist time last week and he had a few things that he didnt set up right so after his frist 2 take off runs we interved and helped him out
1st he had the throws backwards for the canard easy fix
2nd he had put the tank in backwards easy fix 2

the only thing we noticed that it seemed the main gear is to narrow and it tips over easy so we bent the gear out a litle and leveled the wheels problem fixed

next he had the prop on wrong

but we got it in the air and it flys great does very nice snaps and loops

heres a vid of it flying dont mind the u-can-do or the extra 300 [link=http://www.scalerchelis.com/g2/main.php/v/redneckteddy103/redneckteddy103-8/RIO+GRANDE+FLYERS.wmv.html]rio grande valley flyers video[/link]
