hobbico sukoi su31 info.
hello,
i just ordered a hobbico su 31.i mainly ordered this plane because its the size i like to fly and i love the su 31 and the yaks round air frames.
i ordered it due to the untimely demise of my beloved edge 540 that went full hot into the ground yesterday.(lost it in the sun, complete loss)[&o].
does anyone have any info on how it flies or tips on set up.
thanks alot.

p.s.- if your not willing to crash um-dont fly um.[>:]

We have a guy who just got one in our club. It looks to be a great flyer. He put a Saito 100 in it. For the price i dont see how you could beat it.

I have about 6 flights on mine now. Its a good flying plane. It does nice main gear landings & landing on all 3 is also easy. I have an OS.91 Surpass in mine & it is by no means overpowered. I'd have to say its the best 150.00 I've spent in this hobby over the last 15 years.

im going to put a gms 61 in this one,i had one in the edge i just crashed and it hovered that plane just fine and pulled out like an animal.
i was very suprised at the power of this engine for the price.it was very reliable too.
cant go wrong for 80 bucks.
if i dont like the power in the su31 i will probably go with a gms 76 or an evo 100. thatll definetly be adequite[>:]

i am at altitute here in colorado...so you can knock 25% off the power right off the batt..i am running a 91 os 4 stroke as well..it isnt a dog but i wouldnt even come close to calling it overpowered. This is what i would call an aerobatic plane that is fun.I am still working on the cg as i ripped off the landing gear and havnt quite got it back to where i like it.
