New Project - Saito 100 Hobbistar 60
here is my sick and twisted plan
Plane: Hobbistar 60 MKII ARF
Engine: Saito Golden Knight 100
radio: Futaba 9Z
Mods:
Taildragger
no dihedral
Two Alieron servos
Fiberglassed center section of wing
Lose front side fairings
thinking this should make me one wicked stupid (or if need be tame) plane to fly and have a good time with.
What is your thoughts? ideas? opions?
chris

RE: New Project - Saito 100 Hobbistar 60
Doesn't seem like a good idea because it is a trainer, with trainer sized control surfaces and a flat bottomed (?) wing airfoil. Actually tukkus's idea of the new Twist 60 would be much better.
1. On the Twist you have that Golden Knight mounted out in the open in all it's glory.
2. It's relatively cheap and most llikely includes all of the good quality hardware that you might need (maybe you would need to buy something to complete a rudder pull-pull???
3. Its designed for 3D, but you can work into that if need be.
