How good is the .60 engine seagull yak 54 performance ? would any of you go for it ? I live in México and fly at sea level, I will greatly appreciate your comments.

Thanks for your comments.
Merry christmas and excellent 08 to all you.

Well, just got in from flying mine this afternoon and I did manage to bend the wing tube. Didn't do anything that I though was that hard. We did straighten it back, but it does bend real easy. Going to order a carbon fiber one.

For those using a Zenoah G20, did you beef up the engine mount in any way?
How is the mount holding up?

Hi,

It's nothing to do with not having enough flex, if you look close you will find that they have used hot glue to bond the gear plate in place and also the surfaces it glues itself on is not much, I modified mine by providing more area (used thick balsa) for the undercarriage plate to glue on and it's been ok now.

Looks like your question got posted in the wrong thread.
Answer NO
The Yak in this thread is a 90-120 sized plane a 60 would fly it like a J3 Cub.
Seagull makes a smaller YaK for 60 sized engines that would be OK

saludos.

Hello,

I bought a yak 54 from seagull and put a O.S 120 ax. I'd like to know if the airplane can do hover with this motor.

Thanks for your help,

Royak
