Does anyone have experience converting the Calmato 40 sport to a taildragger? I'm wondering how to make the tail wheel functional as a standard wheel kit doesn't work on this model. The horizontal stab. and elevator blocks the wire assembley from attaching to the rudder. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Run a second pushrod from the rudder servo to the tailwheel.
You can either connect it to the servo arm in an available hole (hole closer to servo is preferred) or tie it in to the existing rudder pushrod.
Some builders use nyrods specifically for this application. They have some degree of shock absorbing capability. That is good to have between the tailwheel and it's servo.
Most tailwheel designs have the wire bent to attach to the rudder. The rudder steers the wheel. In this case, you will not bend the wire to match the rudder (which is ok, since you can't anyway) but will bend the wire to stick out at a 90degree angle. That way the pushrod will have a "horn" to push back and forth for your steering.
It works great. And the weight will not amount to anything.
