Floats for Cessna 182 ARF
I am going to build my own with some blue foam. A friend of my gave me some plans to go by and he has already made some for his plane. Basically, you take 80% of you airplanes length or from front of cowl(not spinner) to the front of the verticle stab. Hope this helps and if you want I may build more than one set of floats to sell, if your interested.

Anyone flying this plane with a 3 Blade prop? I am putting a TT46 and want to go 3 blade simply for looks. I did purchase the eurokit gear and should have the plane and the gear next Tuesday. If you are running a 3 blade what spinner are you using I’m having a hell of a time trying to find the right size spinner to use. I’m thinking of going with a 10x7 APC for this plane.
Thanks

Very Beautifull !!!
I was contemplating to buy that airplane, and now I'm sure it's the best choice. It looks very good and, as someone told, fly like it looks... although, there is a Little problem to me that live in Brazil. The Cessna182's price here is about us$290,00(the box, only). Does somebody can tell me how I get to buy one in the USA by Internet? If somebody could indicate me a virtual shop or other way, I would thanks.
Thank you in advance.
Other question: I have a SuperTigre GS40, and the Cessna182 Great Plane's manual tells it is an engine possible to use. Will I have problems with this engine?

Floats should be 75 % the length of the fuse as a rule of thumb. I will measure my fuse in the morn and post it.
Casso try Quantum hobbies.com You might be able to save some dollars there.

Can anyone post info on the best way to mount floats to this plane and what setup you used? I would like to do some reinforcing to the fuse before I go any farther.
Thanks

mine is for sale
i have the cessna arf 182, hate it, to me its been nothing but problems. the blind nuts came out when mounting the landing gear and their is no way to get to them. the wheel pants too small i think, tore them off on first hot landing. just my thoughts
the last flight i got about 12 feet in the air when the engine quit, tore hole in bottom of fuselage and snapped the wing...easy fixies however. yours for the low price of $95.00
thanks,

Hi guys,
It's great! I have got lots of tips from reading your articles in here. I am a newbie to RC flying but have been keeping tabs on the hobby for years. Anyway, I am going for my second plane now and have decided on the Great Planes Cessna 182 Skylane with a Magnum 61 FS. Although my landings are less than perfect now on my 40 size trainer, I think by the time I finish building this gorgeous bird I should have enough confidence to fly it.
Am I being too ambitious?

yes it can be built with flaps. Do a search for the previous posts about the Cessna... I modified mine to have flaps by cutting them out and then making a hatch like the aileron servos have. I cut the flaps at the same chord as the aileron... there's a rear spar to support that operation. Good luck.

Your picture is why I asked the question, I saw it and wondered if it was part of the building sequence. But looking at the plans I did not see any. So I now understand that some modifications would have to be made..

Any one know where to get the nose gear again? Seems the website is dead. Last week it was up but I got no reply after requesting the nose gear.

If your talking about Eurokit, they are history. I tried to purchase the nose gear and got an email from Ben saying they are no longer the distributor for this stuff and would notify me is someone else took it over.. Been looking at Fults gear now on Tower

On the flap modification...
What is the best way to approach this, doing the least amount of recovering, don't want to have to invest in a replacement wing kit..
measure twice, cut once... right?
