Default Evo .46 - Which way does baffle go in?

I had my muffler out and the baffle fell out. I do not know which way it goes back in.
Please take a look at attached and let me know which way faces towards the output (rear).

Most people leave them out. You get more power, the engine is easier to tune and the difference in sound is not detectable without sensitive testing equipment.

Do you know which way it goes, and does the reduction of backpressure reduce the engine torque?

If you want to re-install it the bends go towards the outlet, but I would really leave it out.

Actually you can get the best of both worlds if you drill out the half moon cutouts and make them round.

This lowers backpressure without reducing it as much as removing the baffle does.

Without the baffle pressure to the tank drops more.

The difference is noticible ( try it both ways and unplug the pressure line while the engine is running to see, at half throttle ), so this is well worth doing.
