H9 recommends the 16x8 APC. I havew also found that the 17x6 APC works very well.

Thank you! I will see if my hobby shop can get these. Anybody tried the 18-6 fun fly prop?

Default H9 Edge Saito 180 Prop?

I have just switched to this prop from 17X8 apc...

I only have about 5 flights with this prop so I have not decided if i like it or not yet...

so far this is what I have found

17X8 apc 9100 rpm...%15 % nitro
18X6W apc 8500 rpm 15 %

reliable idle 17X8...1500
reliable idle 18X6W 900-1100 (no onboard glow)

18/6 seemed to slow the plane way down...almost scary slow...(cap232)

torque rolling is a bit easier

How bad do do you have to butcher the spinner with the 18-6? Will the airplane pull out of a tourque roll with authority? Thanks!

yes....big spinner work required on a dave brown spinner.
I think there are spinners available that are cut for wide props...mine wasn't one of them.

everything seems a bit slower swinging the bigger prop...including pulling out of torque-roll.....12.75 lb +15% nitro= slow pull out no matter which prop
