After getting my Great Planes ARF I was worried that the construction my not be--well--you know. As I scroll thru the forums there are all sorts of problems with ARFs coming apart in flight. There was the Hangar 9 Edge wing problem, the Hangar 9 Extra flutter problem, the Sig Sukhoi problems, the list goes on and on when I noticed not too many Great Planes ARF problems. Did I miss something with their ARFs or do they just not have many structural defects. What do you think--

I have 4 gp arfs. The first was a heavy ,snap happy cap 231 ex, now no longer available( thank goodness), one would ask why I ever bought another gp arf, well, reviews and forums convinced me to try again and I can say gp is now much better. The extra 300,spacewalker, and the new ones out now are much better. I dont think you will be disappointed.

I have a P51 and put many flights on it. (Retired it to the garage ceiling museum) As always the landing gear is the weak spot and the covering is that egg carton crap. HOWEVER, its one of the best flying airplanes (ARF) around but IMO way over priced.

I had one but it was earlier and it was ral hevay. I think the newer ARFs are much better. Main thing to look for is one made of Balsa and ply, not plastics nor the plastic like covering. Monokote or ultrakote, or something similar is better, especially if you have to do a repair.
