OK sorry here we go. Here You can also see the airlines I had to use because I did not have enough of the original ones that came with it. I made some very small holes in the wings to pull them thru along with the servo leads. This must be done before joining the wing halves together. You can also see the tubes used to hold the Elevator stabs onto the fuse. Very rigid. Very nice. Make sure you run some 60 grit sand paper over them before glueing in so that they dont come off.

I also agree with whoever stated, put tip tanks on at least one version, maybe the V-tail. What is the cowl width? Would one of the newer 50cc gas twins work without having spark plugs sticking out?

The space allowed for engine placement is very small. About 7 inches width by 4.25 high at the point where the engine should be. You lose about 2 inches when the cowl goes over the nose of the plane. So its a narrow space. Over the 7 inches and the engine heads will stick out the sides of the cowl. Im setting my engine back close to the firewall thus I will need to make a special adapter for the shaft to bring it past the nose as I did with my 182 when I used similar engine. I dont forsee any problems.

It may be better to put the engine farther forward, or at least try some preliminary balancing before mounting. You most likely will need to add a substantial amount of nose weight. That was my experiance anyway.
On another note I was at a funfly this weekend and even standing in my trailer the Bonanza draws quite a bit of attention. I'd didn't take it out as it was very windy.

I dont doubt I will need to add a bit of nose weight but the engine is heavy enough. On my 182 I ended up putting my two battery packs next to the firewall. NO additonal weight was needed. I will be using twin packs on this one as well. I will be mounting the engine and balancing before I have to cut the cowl or anything else. I just hate adding dead weight to any plane. YUP the 50cc twin would be too much..plus you have to consider prop clearance as well. I will most likely be using a 13 x ? 3 blade. If a 14 clears then I will use my 14x6 3 blade. I'll keep all posted. I have not heard of anyone else having one or even seen a video as of yet on any either V or T tail...

I bought one of the very first ones. At that time the composite and retracts were included in the price. The price has changed with the different options.
I installed the RCV 120 as recommended by the owner of KMP but that engine wouldn't get the plane going fast enough for it to lift off the 900 foot grass runway at our field.
A friend had a used Moki 1.8 that I bought and put on it, it flies great now and certainly does not seem overpowered.
I've never posted pictures on here but will try in the near future.
Andrew (KMP), I'm still waiting on the landing gear door hardware to show up at Pauls Model Supply, Fargo ND so I can finish my plane. PLEASE send it soon as its been at least 6 months now that I've been waiting.

Hehehehe, That Moki and muffler sticking out like that really look funny, bet it takes off in less than 200 feet now!!!! Just finished programming my AR7000. Still need to install engine. Will install the Elevator stabs today. For an ARF this is taking me a long time I know.

The Moki wouldn't go horizontal, seemed to look like a tractor pulling rig vertical so I lined it up with the v-tail. It still takes quite a bit of runway to lift off though. I moved the motor a little farther forward tonight and put the receiver battery in the engine compartment and was able to trim some lead and get the plane to balance at around 19 pounds.

19Lbs..HOLY COW!!! Now you are making me wonder if my 160twin will even move this plane. It pulled my 13lbs 150 around with ease, and my other twin pulled my Hanger 9 182 ok with good climb rate....but it was only at 17lbs. I might have to go to a 182 twin...I'll start looking for one now,,,,even if I dont use it, I still have a 1/4 scale Cub I can use either on..

OK, I have done a bit more work on the plane like installed all airplumbing, elevator push rods, all control horns, and mounted and cut the cowl side gill openings. I am still a bit concerned about the engine size. I have ordered a pair of stand-offs to mount the engine. If all goes well I will fly the plane with NO cowl for its first attempts. No matter where I place the engine either with stand-offs forward or at the firewall with a shaft extension, I will have to cut the cowl for valve cover clearance. Sucks !! Hence I will attempt to fly without cowl first before i make any cuts.

kingtight, I have a 26 gasser that fits nicely...only problems is the exhaust. There is not enough room underneath the engine for the muffler due to the nose retract cavity being under the cowl as well. It would have been nice if KMP would have gotten together with an engine manufacture to have the right engine/plane combination like the guys at Experimental Aircraft did with Bisson on the pusher configuration for the Velocity plane. Bisson made the awesome mufflers at the angle required for the engines installed like the webra 120. Excellent team work. As of yet I have NO clue as to anyone having an all incowl engine on this plane or has anyone posted any videos of it flying. Bummer really.....

yes unfortunately slonlow there are many down side concerning engine and muffler space on this baby.Thats the only issue keeping me from buying one.Kmp left the customer hanging on the engine issue[:'(] too sad
