I was jus' foolin' around las' night, surfin' outta some "link farm" I'd bookmarked a while back and I ran across an outfit that SEEMS
t' be sellin' a Super Cub that looks exactly, an' I mean EXACTLY like DP's. They claim a WS of 106" an' DPM's was 105". I figure, "Shucks, what's an inch among friends? Right?" The flaps hinge the same, th' LG attachment looks the same, an' wildest of all, the 27mb vid is labeled "dp_pa18.wmv". I promised a buddy I'd let him know the instant I found one, but I'll post the link to it here t'morrow night.
Cross y' fingers, guys, it may be that this outfit has picked it up.
regards,
RD

Why not just hang on another 30 days or so and pick up the new H9 1/4 ARF cub ? It looks to be even a bit nicer than the DPM and you will actually be able to get it and get parts for it. They are even offfering a plug and play version with Zenoah G-20 pre installed. Just my opinion-Mike O

The buddy I mentioned contacted them and was told that they're out of 'em. Sorry t' yell ,"Fire!", in your theater, guys.
'Twas worth a try, tho.

no need to aplogize, it was a good effort and a great find. I am sure if they fogure they have interest they might get more shipped in eventually and anyone wanting one could have another source besides DP.
I have to agree, although the H9 one might not be on par with the DPM version and evena different model it isnt that bad and a pnp version with the g20 already mounted is a +.
good luck

I saw a cub very similar to this plane bite the dust today. We had a big birds event at our field today and the guy just lost radio contact with the plane. The engines died and the plane spiraled to the ground. It is beat pretty bad but he said that he is going to try to fix it. He didn't know what caused the crash right away but it was definitely radio related he thought. I didn't realize they made different cubs. I just thought it was a funny looking cub. I will post a picture of it when I download my camera.

"DPM rides again" [sm=confused_smile.gif]
Maybe the RC community is better off without him.[sm=pirate.gif]
In any case, I'll believe it when I see it!

DPM will possibly ride again with a new owner who is devoted to repairing the damage that has been done. The current owner won't ride again so it seems. Sad way to go out without a formal announcement or any word as to what happened. It seems at least something is owed to such a following of guys looking for his products. I don't understand it. Just glad I'm not waiting for the UPS truck waiting for a DPM order. Again...how sad.

Here are a couple photo's of the this beautiful planes last flight. Is this the same plane you guys are talking about?? I am amazed (as a rookie) how slow it flies for being such a big plane. It was a real bummer to see it piled up. Hopefully he will get it fixed and flying again soon.

Jvino,
That's a Super Cub alright. Whether or not it's th' one we're talkin' about is up f' grabs. "They all look alike." Sad t' hear of ANYone losin' a plane, tho'.
Tailskid,
If 'twas me, I know I'd not use ANYTHING t' relate me an' MY business t' DP's. Jus' have t' let th' world know I'd hooked up w/ his manufacturin' operation. I sure hope there is such a person. Would certainly fill a gap.
Y'all keep smilin',

BTW, it's nice t' hear it's a slow-flyer. I haven't been able t' fly mine yet an' it'll be my first. Shucks, I can't even mount th' engine yet.
But I'm a lot closer than I was.
