159!!! Man that is cooking....

That definitely sets the bar.... Cav, have you got a radar gun on that Jett .90? I bet you have to be close... I hear ya about the muffler removal, too, but even if I take my muffler off and hand launched the plane without landing gear or whatever - I'm not going to go as fast as you guys. "WOW!" I guess I hit a point with this plane where I humbly have to say, I've done all I can do with this ARF and getting more speed out of this plane with my setup would be like getting water out of a rock. In fact I've switched to the less expensive %20 nitro vs. %30 after consuming 2 gallons in a few day period!

Anyhow, Nice job on the Super Electric Video... Just Amazing!!!
I don't think it would go any quicker without the muffler, it would just sound cool

I guess you could go back and type up a list of what he mentioned then as easily as I could. Somewhere back in this forum I did post all the specs one time. I honestly don't know all the specs right now though.

I do know one thing.. $$$$ and I also know that my OS 91 setup doesn't stand a chance against it. I flew mine a few times last week and thought for a minute that mine had good vertical. That's not the case anymore.

I got almost all the stuff ... motor ... esc and batts (but only 10S though). AUW of 10 lbs is crazy on that plane. The pitch speed is around 180 mph. Hearing the prop scream is just superb.

rcfan ... you cannot compare with a 16" prop, that set up is more powerful than a YS160. He is turning the 16x16 @ 12,000 RPMs!!! I bet he has about 25+ lbs of thrust.

It is 12S, I do know that for sure. He has 4 3S 5000's in it. His voltage reader thing he uses in the end confirms that too.

I must admit, the sound of that thing going by is amazing. I like all types of power setups (electric, nitro, gas) and would consider myself more of a gas guy (I love my 50cc Extra) but the sound of that thing going by sends chills down your spine. Most all his planes are electric, they're all amazing - check out my other videos and watch his 12' wingpan cub.

Hey guys, need a little help and 2100 posts is alot to read. I've been building my Revolver the last couple of weeks, ( I travel alot for work can only put 2 to 3 hours a week). I'm almost done. I've never cut the openings for a cowl before. I have a dremel setup. Any tips for a template? I don't want to eyeball it. I'm using a OS 55 with a pitts muffler. In advance Thanks guys for any info you can give me.

I'm no expert and my method is pretty tedious, but I start with a small hole in the general area and just work it bigger little by little, refitting each time to make sure I'm not going overboard.

For the engines head you can tape a length of thick paper along the side of the fuse to extend past the head and with the cowl off mark on that paper where the head is, then replace the cowl with the paper on the outside and use that as the template.

install your engine, get a peice of card 3'x7' ish cut out a hole for the jug , place the card over the engine and secure to the fuse side with tape, now remove the engine, fit the cowl under the card and finally mark you cowl through the 'jug hole' in the card .
You can do the exhaust the same way, but I have always trusted the eye method for this, as you will be able to fit the engine without the exhaust, and mark the rough area of the exit area. remember to leave plenty of room for the airflow to exit the rear area of the cowl, this needs to be a least x3 the area were it enters (behind the prop).

MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT FIT THE COWL UPSIDE DOWN !!!!!!!!!! Ive done this, and ended up with the jug hole on the wrong side !

Still working on it and hoping to finish up this weekend for a monday maiden. I decided to sell the Moki 1.80 and bought the CRRC-Pro 40cc gasser for her. It arrived last week and is mounted and ready for break in but I still have to glue the stab in (bleh), get all my linkages setup and make her balance.

Another guy at the field has one with the OS 1.60 and seems happy with it although he says it's no 3D plane with that setup. Even with the 1.80 it was underpowered for 3D but awesome for pattern aerobatics. We'll see if the 40cc and lots of tail weight can cure that!

The five or six minutes that I flew my first one were awesome but I never got a chance to attempt a landing.

Pics from a couple nights ago. The Xoar 18x8 is on it for show but I will be running a Xoar 20x8 for break-in and flight:

During the maiden flight (for me) I was mid-aired by a Parkzone foamy Corsair flying against the pattern. T-boned me perfectly behind the cowl and ripped my plane in half in the air. Nobody could believe it. Broke my heart.

It was hard to place blame as the active runway was north/south but they way the sun was positioned, all of the field regs and I were taking off and then flying an east/west pattern to avoid flying into the sun. Of the 5 planes that were up the Corsair was the only one flying the technically correct pattern.

BTW, check your ARF carefully before you start assembly. Mine came without pre-cut servo holes on the left side of the plane. After 6 weeks of runaround with Hobbico, I finally found someone with the same plane and measured/cut the holes myself.

Anyone need any spare parts? I basically have a set of landing gear, wings, cowl, canopy, and fuse all in tact> The only thing with the fuse is the gear got ripped out the bottom but any decent builder could patch it up in a matter of minutes. I already own one so I am trying to get funds for a new project. Hit me up if you want pics or have an offer.

I got a revolver as well with an os 55 ax,one of the best i had, fast and real aerobatic, landings are a bit jumpy but other than that great .
As for using a tower 75 don't recomend heavy, 55 ax is faster,an os 55 works great i got two other friends with revolvers using 55 ax with 10x8 prop and i tell you
"fast and furious"."watch out for landings it's fast."

Hi guys, just crashed my revolver showing off for some friends. Replaced it with the GP Extra 300SP. Only thing that survived was the landing gear oddly enough. The wheel pants got a little beat up but the gear itself is intact. If anyone's interested pm me.

Well this morning I was doing a high speed very low pass and the engine flamed out in the middle of the runway. I tried to land in the cut grass at my field but overshot it and landed in the heavy thick grass. The landing gear just flew off the revolver . Minor fix. It is ready to fly again.

Sorry about your lose Turboprop130.

What sucks is that when the gear does come completely off it takes a nice wide strip of the covering with it, almost all the way to the back!
