I bought a Showtime 50 last weekend and started putting it together. I have an O.S. 46 AX to put in the plane. Don't start the same old rhetoric on you need a bigger engine. The 46 Ax is plenty for this plane. The problem is mounting the muffler. The plane was obviously built around an evolutino engine. When I got the engine mounted the muffler doesn't clear the cut out on the fuse. I loosened the back half of the muffler to see how far I am from getting the muffler in there. This is where I need ideas. Muffler extention , different muffler or make a few cuts to the fuse???
What to do what to do? Here are a couple pix of the situation.........

The tower 46 muffler might fit just right. You'll pick up a few rpm with it as well. Maybe someone can post some dimensions on the muffler.

I just did a little more research and found that an OS #873 muffler will fit; the engine that is. Not sure with the plane. But; what will the difference in performance be?

A Macs muffler might work but I think it may end up being too long. I think you have the right idea by looking at the various OS mufflers that will bolt up. I also recall seeing a muffler extension (Dubro I think) that came in a 6" length. You cut it to the size you need. Maybe you could use something like that to do a customized extension for an exact fit. You really don't need much.
