I just got a Hangar 9 p51 pts arf. It calls out for a .40 to a .52. Do you think the plane would be able to handle a .61 evolution? I have one setting on the shelf. I know the .61 weighs a little more but more power more fun right. Do you think the air frame will support it?

A little extra power is good, more is better, and too much is just about right!

You may want to mock it up and see if that .61 doesn't stick out the nose too far. Beef up the firewall so you don't lose it. Better to be a bit nose heavy, but you can place the receiver battery to help with CG. Take offs may take a little longer to rotate and landings may require keeping a little more speed so you don't run out of elevator. Sounds like fun!

I've got the H-9 P-51 Miss America with a Saito 100. Its good, but I'm thinking 25cc gasser might be about right.

hey nascarfan17 try the EVO NX.52 1/4 inch taller 1/8 inch longer bolts right in thats on the f22 I have A EVO NT.46 ON 2 mustangs pts 10x6 prop and flaps are a must fun to land that way the EVO .61 IS bigger MAY not be worth the effort just kidding about the 17 falcongt

Magnum 70 4strok flys like a dream.

wow!!! P A BEN very nice plane . how are the magnum motors I have A P51D EZ model co mustang very nice scale new in box should. have A 4 stroke in IT A 2stroke would ruin it .thinking about eleteric because I would not have to cut the cowl and no replacement parts plant burnt down only one chance at it

hey nascar fan 88 have you tried the EVO 61 on the pts mustang ? look in the manual shows spects of both engines my son 14 soloed last weekend His 3rd flight dad lets go up together [X(] had another pilot stand by. him in the nextar me in the mustang pts in no time the mustang was all over the nextar in turn 1 he goes left as I go left I go right HE blocks right again HAD to do something fast the nextar was almost prop food for the mustang [sm=spinnyeyes.gif] after the power dive caught back up later here he has that thing full speed[>:] thats right settle down now !!!so I Land then he comes in already 1/2 down the runway 15 feet up IM going to force land IT! Before I could say what go around !!!!! full dive 3 wheels nail the runway this is not good [&o] the long walk to the plane. the plane had 6 inches till the corn field I did not Know the nose wheel was bad ...on the plane was this way before he flew only 3 solos 7 trainer cord flights last year .WOW what kids can DO !!! sorry about the typeo 88 HA !
