due to the untimely demise of my GP Cessna (low level aerobatics not recommended), I have an OS 52 4-stroke available and I hate to see it sitting on my shelf...
what ARF would to drop it into?
just wondering if there were any made that will do this engine justice, without having to up it to a 70 size 4-stroke. I was thinking Kyosho Super Stearman - or their new Pitts, but wonder if those would be tooo heavy. same thing for a 40 size warbird.
maybe the new Super Sportster ARF?
any aerobats that an OS 52 can do justice to? (a small cap/extra/edge?)
thanks for your ideas in advance.
Keep 'em flyin.

I have an OS 52 4 stroke in my N2S-1. It flies very nice in that plane. You can see it at http://www.geocities.com/jbrundt2/N2S-1.html

I have a World Models Extra 300 .30. With the OS .52 in the snoot, it'll just about torque-roll. It really is a nice plane. Below is the pic off of www.Airborne-Models.com.

I would go with the Kyosho Super Stearman. I just finished this combo and am now waiting in a break from the weather to fly it. From what I understand this is the perfect engine for this plane. No you are not going to bore holes in the sky and have unlimited vertical but it will fly like a Stearman is supposed to fly. (BTW the plane is relatively light not sure how many lbs. mine came to)
Have fun in your decision

Thanks for for the ideas - here's my pics so far:
- Kyosho Super Stearman or PT-17 (most likely Super Stearman)
- new Kyosho Pitts or DP Ultimate? (bet the 52 wouldn't be enough)
- either the World Models or Yellow Aircraft Sukhoi 30, Extra 30 or Cap 30 (Yellow only)
- Zen 30 (but I have enough pattern type planes already)
haven't thought about the Agwagon, but I've always liked that plane... I'll have to seriously consider it. I'll see what's available at Perry this weekend. Thanks again, all.

my vote would be for the yellow sukhoi!!! unless you are a warbird nut! The world models stuff is a good vote too. I've assembled 2 of the Yellow ARFS( 60 cap and 120 sukhoi) and these are truly superb kits.

My recommedation is the Kyosho super Stearman either the super or the Kaydet the are both the same. I have one with a OS 52 and a 12/5 graumpner prop. I have one and it is fantastic. plus you do not hhave to take off the wing to get into the car.
Get it ..........build it............fly it........... Greg
