Default ModelTech Magic RX and Battery Location?

I am putting together a ModelTech Magic with the following components: OS 46FX, Futaba 9 Ch. PCM RX (R149DR), JR 4.8v 700mah NiCD, a Futaba S3001 on throttle and 4 GWS S03N's on everything else.

Where and how do I mount the battery pack and RX? I can get the battery behind the fuel tank, but can't find a place for the RX.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Default Space?

It should fit in the space next to your throttle servo-

Nope, RX is too big! I am building this for a friend, I might have to tell him to get a smaller RX!

I will go try again.

Thanks for the reply

You might want to use a smaller servo for the throttle servo. You dont need a lot of torque for the trottle and it may give you more room to fit either the battery or receiver in that slot. Fit the other behind the gas tank. Be sure to check the CG to help you decide.

I cut some out of the throttle servo hole and moved toward the right-hand side of the fuselage, that did the trick.

It took 2 3/4 oz in the tail to balance the plane, forgot to check the lateral balance, will do that tomorrow.

How did you mount your engine? I mounted this one at about a 45 degree angle to the right. I have seen picture will the engine tilled about 135 degrees to the right and the muffler underneath the fuselage. Should I change the engine around? I really don't want to.

Thanks for the replies!

I used an ild 101 Hitec for my throttle and velcroed my square battery beside the throttle servo. I then put in a 610 micro reciever in front of the servo tray. My 46fx was mounted at a 45 so I wouldn't have to reach under the plane to remove the glow. Mine took a little weight to balance but it still recovers like a light weight plane.
