Default 3D Hobby Shop

Hi all,
I've been flying for about a year now and have flown 3 different planes: p-51 pts, Quicky 500(skat cat?), and a kit build Somethin' Extra. I love my Somethin' Extra, with a OS46FX and a 12X4 prop your talking about hovering at 1/2 stick. Well the Somethin' Extra has taken me quit far but now I think its time for something new. I'm really hesitant about getting into an electric aircraft, but theres not a good 40 size 3-d plane out there that is not a profile. (I don't like the looks of a profile!) So its about time to go electric. Now the question is which? For my budget (~500 with battery and charger) theres 3 planes that stick out for both looks and performance, and there all 3d-hobby shop 47" planes:
Extra 300 shp
Katana
Yak 54

I really like the looks of the Katana, but could live with any of them. I really want the best bang for the buck as far as taking my flying skills to the next level.
So if anyone has flow any/all of these please post which you think is the best for what I'm looking for.

I fully understand your feelings about the looks of a profile but don't discount them completely.
I used to absolutely despise the look of profiles - then I flew one and very shortly afterwards got a MoJo. For taking you to the next level in 3d and a great match for the 46AX - they are a great flying plane.

I still don't enjoy the looks of the profiles but I almost always take one of the MoJos with me when I go to fly these days. They can be as wild or as tame as you like.

Alternatively, Look for something a little bigger than what you have been flying - something in the 60 or 90 size such as a U-Can-Do, Showitme, FuntanaX or one of the many Extra's, Edges etc in that size range.

I flew the 3D-Hobbies Yak 47" for the better part of this summer(aprox. 57 flights) until one day after some pretty heavy tumbling around, the battery decided to depart the plane. My fault completely........ Anyhow, I will soon be ordering their new Extra 55" plane. I wish they had a 55" Yak, but at this point I like their kits/service so well, it doesn't matter.[8D]
