Default Hotter Plug For Evolution 46NT?

Can anyone confirm that 46NTs run best with a hotter plug like an OS A3? I`ve been running an OS8 in one and feel like it runs "OK". I`m hearing it`s like "night and day", however, if you move to a hotter plug. Appreciate any input.

Odd question for the ARF forum, you might have considered posting this in the glow engine forum instead.

In any event, most Evolution 2-stroke owners report much better performance when running the hottest plugs they can find, including the A3.

Guess you`re right about posting here. It`s just been my experience that most everyone is quite helpful here. Plus, I figured some folks ould be using this engine on their ARFS/RTFs.

Yup, we are .... but I haven't tried any hotter plugs. I'm using what Evolution recommends, the Hangar9 4-cycle Super Plug. Before that I was using an MC-59. Only been using the Super Plug for a couple of flights, but it seems to be just fine.

Thanks Larry. I believe that the Super Plug you`re using IS a hotter plug than the OS 8, but I`m not absolutely sure about that.

I'm not sure either about how hot it is, but the 4-cycle plug is whats recommended by Evolution. I wasn't sure if I was having issues with the MC-59 plugs .... seemed to be going through them kinda quick, even on the rich side. I've only got a few flights on the 4-cycle, but so far I'm pretty happy. Time will tell ....
