I have been looking at the post type control horns and they seem to be really a lot easier to install and use than the standard 4 screw horns you see on everything. I want to put these on a 1/4 scale Cap if they are good for this purpose. Can someone comment and give me a source and size for my plane that would be appropriate. thanks.

I'm installing the rocket city one's.
This weekend will be it's first flight.
Central hobbies looks stronger then the rocket city, but I think they will do fine, I hope. I'll let you know this weekend!

I get mine at the local hardware store. In my case it is a HomeDepot. I buy the size bolts and blind nuts I want- 440/632/832/1032 or whatever, and blindnuts, washers, etc. I use the stainless ones. I cut the tabs off the blind nuts and reverse them on the bolt that is mounted through the surface. The head is ground/cut off the bolt of course. Could use locknuts instead of blindnuts. One nut on the top surface, one on the bottom. I make sure there is a good solid/firm surface to put the bolt/control horn through. A drop of ca or locktite is applied. I use pull/pull on elevator and rudder whenever possible. No problems so far in several years.
