Hey whodaman,
I went to the Giant Scale Planes shop. Their stuff is Ok.nothing to write home about..The glue joint on most of the kits are Hot glue,Dad and I were looking at the AT6,looks good from afar.Lots of extra work. No retract set up ,only the center flap. My dad ended up buying the Decathalon,It's a arc.model.the glue was Zap type.the glu joints all had to be checked... I don't know who else makes a Christen eagle,I would try to find one.

Well, you can do what I did. If you like the plane, strip it completely. Go over the weak areas and recover. This is a Giant Scale Planes 68" P-51 totally done over inside and out.

Whodaman,
don't forget the Eagle is a glass fuse Hard to fix stuff. If the wings are covered why rip it all apart. Ya might as well by a kit or find another arf. or arc. Thats just my opinion. I like the look of the eagle I have an old Byron Originals that has been a on again off again assembly...

I don't know aboutb this plane but I have owned 2 of their ARCs and a club member had 2 of the ARFs--They historically fly great but the glue and other accesiores leave a lot to be desired. They are NOT CHEAP when compared to other ARFs out there and when the covering comes off on the first flight (this happened to the club members 80"Extra) and when the windshield on my Decathalon cracks on (again) the first flight-not to mention the flimsey landing gear--well I just think there are better planes for the price. Again my Staudacher and Super Decathalon fly great but- I think it is a given that this Company has no customer service to speak of. Just my opinion--

OK - here's a little preview!
1/4 Scale ARF, monokote covered, very high quality, with the true graphics package. Oh and there is going to be top quality customer service.
I will let everyone know as soon as it is ready to go! (probably the end of the summer)

Whodaman, sorry it's Sunday morning and I just woke up not long ago. Had a few to many Bud Lights last night. Anyway, the ex-Eagle aviation {Frank Noll} Christen Eagle is still avalible. R/C Engineering sells it. Complete kit $700.

Hi Xtraflyr... I'm not sure about the other bipe. The info on the 38% Christen Eagle is listed above from Whodaman. Maybe if we all get together and buy at the same time he will give us a price break.
Yeah, right!! It's great that you guys have interest in the Eagle. I was starting to think I was the only one.

From: st charles, MO,
I finally finished my PILOT Eagle II last year. It flies beautifully with a ST3000. AUW is 12.5lbs and has a 64" w/s. All balsa and light ply construction. I can make copies of the plans for anyone interested. They are $55 rolled & shipped. The cowl and wheel pants are available from Fiberglass Specialties and Model Graphics has the feather graphics. The only parts you need to make are the canopy and landing gear struts. The canopy can be carved and glassed from foam and the gear is formed aluminum. I am sure there are places out there that will pull a canopy for you as well as places to get gear made. If any one is interested please email me. You can see more pics on my web site at http://www.geocities.com/jbrundt/eagle.html
