Default Pizazz Servo arms.

I have a pizazz that I have just finished installing the standard servo's and I am having a problem with the servo arms. The holes in the arm's are to small for the huge wire for the R,E,T pushrods.
I suppose I will look around the hobby shop to see if there are some arms that have huge holes in the arms.

is this normal on the pizazz ??

thx

Use either a drill or body reamer to make the holes larger, it will not affect how they work. I just finished builidng my Pizzaz last night! What engine did you use and how much weight was required to balance it?

You can either find arms with the metric holes pre-drilled. Measure the diam. of the wire with a micrometer then drill out the holes with an appropriate sized bit.
--or--
Stick the end of your Exacto knife in the hole and open it up.

An easier option is to cut a short piece of the pushrod and to chuck it into your drill with the cut end out. You can then enlarge the hole to exactly fit the pushrod. This results in a tight fit with no slop.

I don't have an engine in it yet. it will be a few more weeks till I can buy an engine I plan on putting the tower .75 in it. along with a Sullivan's 12oz slant fuel tank.

I don't think that the width of the arm would allow me to open the holes up big enough with out the side walls being so thin that they couldn't survive flight stress. this rod/wire looks so over size it's not funny, I wish I had a digital cam so I could take a picture of it.

I think I might have to replace all the wire/rod on this plane.

I would appreciate it if someone that had a digital camera would post pictures of there push-rod hookup's to there servo's so I could see what a normal set up looked like.

Thank you vary much everyone!!

Use a 5/64 drill bit, for the servo arms, works great. Almost done with mine, just need to add the receiver battery ,tank, then balance. Started it Friday night, goes together quick. I got a Irvine 53 up front in mine...........Should be a blast. JT
