Default P-47 gear question??

Heres the deal. Tomorrow I pick up my G-26ei, Prop and spinner. If I can fly this beast with fixed gear (until my retract servos come in) I can maiden on saturday. What do you think???!!?? [X(]

I would not recomend flying it without the retract servos. You run the risk of tearing up your plane after all the hard work that you have put into it.

Which P-47 is it? ONLY fly it if you have a sure fire way to secure the gear locked with no chance of one of the mechanical retracts becoming unlocked. Stiff leg it and fly.

The '47 would look much better with the gear tucked up under it. Just my opinion though.

Some planes including some war birds come with retracts but, if you fly off a grass field like I do where retracts are at risk, you might be better off to permanently secure the wheels in the down position. That of course is your call. [8D]
