Default Rascal 40 read to to fly...

I like the plane but don't like the inverted engine mounting so I changed it. It took me a weekend to get it modified just right but I think it turned out pretty good. The engine is mounted at 45 degrees down which puts the muffler straight down underneath the fuselage. Should be very little if any fuel gunk to clean off and the engine should run great. The engine actually doesn't even stick out that much either. Will post pics later today. This is also a first for me; both the lateral and the CG are very good with no weight needed any where! Didn't even need to move the battery!!~ Regards, Fast!

Looking forward to the pics; sounds like a great mod. Rascal's a pretty plane, good luck with it!

Here are 3 pics of the plane. If you check out the grass below the wing, you can see the grass has a blue glow from the sunlight coming the transparent part of the wing. The engine is brand new OS 46AX with a muffler extension to help clear the fuselage.

The weather is supposed to be nice on Thursday. If it is, will test fly it then.
