Hey all,
I have an Evolution .61 motor and was looking at the U-Can-Do 3d. I see most people put a 91 or larger engine in this and can't find anyone that has put a 60 size engine in it.
I know it's rated as a .61 up but can anyone attest to the performance with a .61 engine in this?
Thanks!

I have not been happy with my EVO 61. It was impossible to get a smooth run out of the beast and I expected much better considering the price. I even tried a Tower Hobbies 61 carb to try to improve the performance. It helped but still not great performance so I now have a spare carb and what I consider to be a useless engine. I have seen some of the smaller EVO engines on trainers that seem to run well so I can only assume that the engines may be good or crappy. Luck of the draw I guess. If I need a a mid size engine now I only buy TH 75 engines. Easy to adjust, really good power, and inexpensive!

I've had 4 U Can Do's (3 46's and 1 60 ) and have used 4 strokes on all of them so I haven't tried one with a 2 stroke but it seems to me that the Evo 61 might be a little too small for the 60 Do. Just a guess. I'm sure it would fly it but you might not get the performance you'd like for 3D or aerobatics. My 46 Do's have all had Saito 82's and my 60 had a 125 Saito and those were just right for them. The reason the Do's are listed with such small engines is they don't want people to fly them too fast and rip them up in the air. That happened to a friends Do with an AX 55 in it. He wish ripping around through the air like a mad man and the poor Do just shredded.

HMMMMM, shredded do's....
Hi Rob, if your smart you will listen to Rob, get a larger engine than a 60.
if you want to have fun its a saito 91 or 100 for the 46 and a saito 125 for the 60.
