Gee Bee R3 Available in Australia?
Just wondering if anyone knows if this plane is available still and if it can be purchased/ordered in Australia?

Hahaha.
Well spotted Ram. In Aus we reverse the month and day. So I read it as 12th day 5th month 08.
Beautiful looking plane. I read a rumour somewhere someone is making this plane 1:1. ie flyable for a human pilot.
THAT would be cool to see.

No pics yet. Dont know how to up load them here but i could email them to you when i get them if you send me your address.
I have fitted an OS 82fs and have had to put about 6ozs of lead on the engine mount to bring the cg up to the right place.
It cost me $700 by the time i got it here so its a costly little ARF. No instructions with it either but managed to find some on line which gave me clues about the cg and surface throws.

RE: Gee Bee R3 Available in Australia?
Awesome thanks for the info.
Its cool with the pics. I spent most of last night looking up info on the GeeBee R3 ARF.
I remember seeing a place in Australia a year or so ago that stocked that ARF, but if I remember correctly the price was rather rude at the time. But it's such an awesome looking plane!
Will have to dig deep as we get closer to christmas and see if I can buy myself one
