well not to burst your bubble but that plane is not for someone that has never flown before.as far as online you can try tower hobbies or hobby lobby or do a google search.you will need not only a micro type flight pack but also esc, battey and charger, you may just want to check e-flite out to see what would be a more suitable first plan rtf ready to fly that you can move the equipment into the me 109 after you have learned how to fly

Look, don't get disapointed. Get ahold of your local hobby shop and ask them to point you to the nearest local club. Go to the club ask questions, get involved w/their beginners and more than likely good things will happen.

i have that plane. it is not a beginners plane by no means!. very touchy and high wing loading. the earlier gws fighter series did not fly very well at all with the stock motors that came with them. to get them to fly decent its a fairly expensive upgrade. my advice is to save your money and buy a .40 size "ready to fly" glow or electric trainer. they come with the radio installed and some minor assembly. but you will need help even with a trainer.. learning to fly yourself is a 1000 to 1 chance.....unless you have practiced on a simulator.

your link sent me to 4 channel electric warbird. this would not be a a recommened starter plane.. also i'm assuming the slow v is one those store bought 2 channel electrics with a lot of wing. i have many times seen beginners try and fly these without help. a few succeded but most ended in failure. even if you learn to fly one those then going to a more powerful 4 channel plane it will be like starting over again. do what "kelly" suggested. go to a local hobby shop and rc club for advice. in this hobby "what goes up, will come down" and you do not want that with your first plane. get help and advice. i tell you this because i have seen so many people get into this hobby the wrong way and it ended in sad disappointment.
i just realized the slow v is a gws plane. i've seen these fly and you could learn to fly on it but you would still need a radio, battery pack, a charger and a decent speed controller which could run into some money

For the horizontal stbilizer I think you could probly find one with a bit of googling or maybe even make one youself. It isn't really that hard with foamies. Also, I couldn't agree more with everyone else, FIND SOMEONE TO HELP YOU! I taught myself to fly on a Walkera DF#4, which is possibly the worst learning tool (torture device?) ever invented. I just wanted an R/C helicopter.... Anyway, that thing did build up my flight skills to the point where I can fly anything without trouble... I would still highly advise that nobody ever tries this for any reason. I think as long as you have an instructor, a buddy box, and a bit of sense you'll be fine, but don't try to do anything you aren't ready for.
