Had one. IMO, not enough engine. I had a FPE 3.2 (52cc) in mine. I wouldn't want any less engine for realistic flight.

I have the 1/3rd Pitts and installed a dzy 48cc twin. It is very realistic in flight. Not underpowered but not overkill either.
With the TME smoke sytem everyone stops to watch it fly.

I am not really surprised by the suggestions because of the old saying; "you cant overpower a bipe" I have a monster plane to complete before I put the Eagle together but glad I posted this question.
Thanks guy`s;

I have one of these in the box. In the manual, the recomendation seems to lean toward 50cc. I'm thinking about a DL-50 or maybe a DA-50. Something powerful but light.

Thanks Chuck, I should have realized a gasser is a must. I like zenoah engines they are so reliable but a G-45 might not be enough and the "workhorse" the G-62 might be too large. going to look up the prices on the ones you mentioned. Believe I saw this model with a G-62 but I dont really shoot holes in the sky. Still have another Dave Patrick bipe and one N.I.B. to put together they are great flyers and only need a saito 150,
about 13 lbs dry. Demolished one last week, but you have to move on, all part of the hobby.

I've flown one on a U.S. Engnes 41cc and a Fuji 50. Both flew the plane very "scale-like." In other words, not enough power. If I had one, I'd slap on a DL 50 or something like that there.
