Default Plane for an OS 55AX 2 stroke

I have a few month old OS 55AX 2 stroke engine. I purchased it for a 3-D Profile. Changed my mind about the Profile and will either sell the engine or find an aircraft. I want the plane to be sport aerobatic at least, but does not have to be 3-D.

Suggestions?

Ed

I say go with the Fokker D VII 60 from hangar 9. I hated this plane until I went to a fly-in and saw one in person. I has a lot of detail and looks great. The only thing I hate is the price which pretty much all hangar 9 planes are pricey, but they fly great.

Like it's on rails! -That's all I can say... Very smooth and "pattern" like. She will scream at W.O.T with the .55, due to it's slippery shape, but it will also slow down to a crawl. It's extremely stable too. Most folks can handle it with a seasons worth of trainer experience. It's design lends itself to rough grass fields real well with a lot of ground clearance. Overall quality is excellent! In some cases, it's almost better than most of the H9 ARF's. for example. The wood is great, glue joints are strong, and the Ultrakote covering is top notch! I just can't say enough good things about it. As with most ARF's, I throw away the hardware and supply my own, so I didn't use it. (I really like the Robart products) John's (the owner of NE. Aero.) customer service is by far the best that I have ever experienced in my 15+ years of modeling. I can safely say that my hangar will always have at least one of his kits or arf's in it. -Craig Perkins

World Models Super Sport 40 (SS40) or the T-34 Mentor (super semi scale). World Models Rambler 45. 40 size Chippie. Funtana. There are just so many.

If I lived in the states, Great planes Super Sportster would be a top pick. I just like the classic lines. Too bad where I am, the cost of shipping is as much if not more than the cost of the ARF!
