Hello everyone,
I have a TT Tiger Bipe 40 ARF that has a split elevator. The instructions call for a "Y" pushrod which I'm really not too crazy about. I have the same pushrod on my GP EXtra 300 and there's a lot of elevator slop with this set up. With the bipe, I want to make a 1 piece elevator with a wire joiner. My questions are:
1.) Does anbody sell elevator join wires? I have seen them supplied in kits, but haven't seen just the wire sold separately.
2.) If nobody sells the elevator join wire, what guage wire do I need to buy and what is the best way to get a "true" flat bend?
TIA for all responses.
Regards,
Tony in PA

Tony :
You probably already have it your parts bin. Use 4-40 push rod.
It can be bent close enough to parallel then tweak as needed. I
like to position one of the arms of the rod so that it is sandwiched
by the control horns screws.
The other way to go would be the hobby shop music wire size
3/ 32" or .090 dia.
