Default Shoe String Question

My Shoe String is coming together real nice. When I bolted the wings to the fuse and put the cockpit down on the wings to position it, I noticed a 1/8'' space between the front of the cockpit and the front section of the fuse top.
Has anyone else seen this on their plane? I don't think that space should be there, should it ? It's easily fixable.

Thanks
Jeff

This gap is normal. You could fill it but why bother it doesn't affect the flight performance.
