nice find!

i dug out my old Diablo to do an R&R on it so i can fly it this season.

All new fuel tubing, stopper and brass lines.

Needed to order a rebuild kit for the fuler as the internal O ring turn to stone. once i have those pieces its ready to go.

Was tempted to swap the YS 120 for a DLE but it didn't fit the mount so decided to skip it.

Default EZ Reno L250 or M250

Looking for a pair of Reno Racers from the early 90s. I realize these are rare and will offer top dollar for NIB.

Can anyone identify this one for me, appears to be 25 size. It has the classic EZ construction and maybe looks like an Sbach?

Default EZ Diablo information needed!

Hi, I've been given what I believe is an EZ Diablo, wingspan around 92". The history is it last flew in about 2005 when it crashed, destroying the front of the fuselage. The owner acquired a new fibreglass cowl and fuse which he joined to the original tailplane. The new fuse is a bare shell and I'm looking for information as to what is required to get the model flying again. Does anyone have any old build instructions, plans or pictures please?

Default EZ P-51 Mustang 30

Finally after almost a year I’ve managed to get a few flights on this bird and worked out a kink here and there. Changed the wheels to some standard du-bro wheels as the foamies just didn’t offer any cushion at all. Brought the elevater and aileron control throws waaay down from recommended. Then I changed over to a .32 from the old FSR .28 Big difference in flight performance. The old .28 runs phenomenally but the newer engine just has power advantages. Actually a perfect combo now. I also clipped 3-1/2” from each wing panel and made some new wingtips. I did this because the wing is too wide scale wise and it floated too much on landing. I only intended to remove 2-1/2” but oh well. Now it doesn’t float so much and comes in for a nice wheel landing that sticks rather than tend to float and bounce.
Being that EZ marketed this as a “P-51D” they kept things simple though. For example the wings leading edge is straight and has no kick forward at the root like the A,B,C,D,K series. It’s actually like the “light” mustang variations that led to the “H” model. So that being said I decided to go forward and make it look as much like the H as I could. Made some H model gear doors. Then I removed the vertical fin cap and built taller one from balsa again to simulate the H model vertical.
That’s as far as I’ve gotten for now. I decided on the “NACA” mustang scheme with its yellow fin stripe to keep things simple. Previous owner painted the nose so it’s gonna take some work to remove it but it’ll be a decent looking little mustang when all is said and done.
I’ll post more pics as I transform it to the finished scheme.

Well....about 2 hrs of rubbing and wiping with acetone then some masking and painting. Kudos to my wife for knocking out the “NACA” decals on her Cri-Cut machine!!
Just a few more decals for the fuselage and that’ll do it.

Jaws,
I'm working on an rpm ez 1.8 glider with creases in the fuse. Have you had any luck unwrapping the fuses from the bottoms?

I've never really attempted to as it just hasn't come my way yet. Although recently I used a monokote iron on low heat and was able to remove some shallow dings and dents with some success from the surface of a wing. You can give that a shot and try varying temperatures to see if you have any luck.
Best of luck to ya.

Default Ez reno l250

This one has been waiting a while so thought I’d get it ready for the flying season. Bought it started but was missing the cowl. I may build one later for it but for now it’s fine. I used a tried and true engine setup that had been on an old blue version I retired long ago. K&B 3.5 on a pipe with a reworked Zinger 8 x 6. Great combination on this little bird.

Default Another ready to test

Bought this modified Dago Red from an estate sale a while back. Previous owner did a great job putting it together and Id say he didn’t fly it much. Was set up with a 46 but I dropped in an OS 61 SF with the topflite in cowl muffler. Really cleans the lines up with out butchering the cowl. This is actually a great power set up for the EZ Mustang if you like two strokes. I’ve had a dago with an OS FS 91 four stroke and that’s a great combo as well. My next mustang will be with a YS 91 or 110 depending on what I have available. Curious to see how that will perform.

I have the instructions in PDF for the Dallas Doll / Blue version. Instructions are almost identical for the B model and Dago Red with the exception of a few insignificant details like canopy and such.
But for whatever reason I cant post them here because of some security issue so if your wanting them just give me your email and I will forward them to you.

Default Newest EZ Mustang

Wanted to do something different as far as schemes go. Unfortunately with this particular model the invasion stripes and stars are printed in the skin so no real way to get around them other than covering them up with silver vinyl so chose Bud Anderson’s Old Crow. His didn’t have the invasion stripes on top of the wing but what the heck....got to compromise some right?
YS FZ 91 on this one as I’ve never tried this combo. Just a touch heavier than using an OS 91 (which I think is a perfect combo if you chose a 4-stroke for this model).
Flys awesome as we know this airframe does.
