I am selling my NIB EZ Dago red (newer edition) with retracts for $300 plus shipping if anyone is interested. Let me know before it goes to Ebay. [email protected]
I also have a lightly used Saito .72 that would make a great motor for it that I will include for $425 for both. Thanks.

Here's my Dallas Doll in the garage. It's got an OS 61 FSR and retracts. I'll get some pics at the field when it's in one piece this week.

Here's Dallas Doll after some runs in the drive. I turned every screw on that OS 7M carb, finally got it to run pretty well after I found the instruction sheet. That old 61 FSR howls with that 11x7 on it.

That engine should be able to turn a 12 X 7 with the big spinner no problem...

Awesome thread! Brings back many 1980s memories.

I've owned and flown many different EZ planes back then. Reading thru the thread I was remembering a lot of them and some I had totally forgot about.
I had the F-18 as well, but sold it before I finished building it so I never got to fly it.

In their time they were the higher end kits and were quite a bit more $$ than other kits.

I suppose it would but I like the way it hauls that thing around like an eighties Pattern ship. It's got to go 90 mph.

I just finished reading this entire thread. It's nice to know so many people still appreciate the EZ ARF's from the OK or Pilot model company. My understanding was that the Pilot factory burned down years ago and that is why production of all Pilot kits and EZ ARF's were discontinued.

I have a NIB EZ P-51D and I also have the rarer then hens teeth armament kit for it.

Which P-51D do you have Tom?
Is the Dallas Doll or the Blue camo version?

Chris....by all means...if isnt broke dont fix it. Especially if your liking the way it hauls. Didnt mean to sound suggestive rather more a comparison to a set up I have on a H-9 mustang and thats the prop Im turning with the same engine.
Ill bet it smokes through the sky for sure....these fly so dang well.

I have a couple of the armament kits as well. I was thinking about selling one, but I'm sure I would'nt come close getting what they are worth.

Dallas Doll's end came quickly. She needed a bit more downthrust and I elected to land it while holding forward stick instead of trimming it out up high and landing it. She got a bit out of control on base to final and rolled over inverted, I was not high enough or good enough to recover. Sorry, it would've been a fun Pattern like Scale ship. OS 61 FSR was OK, but full of dirt.

Wow, Sorry to see your Dallas Doll destroyed. What a expensive lesson to learn about trimming correctly. I once skipped my full scale checklist and tookoff with full nose up trim. It taught me that you need to always use your checklist whether you have 100 hrs or 10,000 hrs.

They were Great Arf's for the time. I heard the factory burned down and that was the end of them. I still have a comander twenty. I have not flown it in years but I loved it.

Great thread, really brings back the mid 80's to early 90's. I had a few of
these arf's, my favorite was the P-51B. Also their Pilot kits were really cool.
I used to fly at Mile Sqare Park in Fountain Valley Calif.  Everyone referred
to the O.K. ARF's as "Rubber Ducks", But I loved flying mine.
