Phoenix Super Decathlon Tank Placement?
I'm a bit stumped on the method for securing the tank on the model. Manual indicates to put a bead of silicone sealant on the aft side of the fwrd bulkhead to the face of the tank? Is this ALL that hold the tank in place & secure?
Initially I put the "said" sealant on the bottom of the tank where it contacts the framing structure, I seemed to get air bubbles in the fuel feed line, so I thought I'd redo it by elevating it a tad on some foam rubber then secure it in place with zip-ties that I now realise can't be zip-tied where I'd like it to be.
Any help or suggesstions would greatly be appreciated!
Thanks!

RE: Phoenix Super Decathlon Tank Placement?
If you're tank is the same as mine (bumped out area on bottom under tank stopper, there is no way to do it like the instructions say. I ended up using another tank with a flat front, and placing foam around three sides, then using a balsa stick glued between the formers behind the tank to keep it from sliding back. Hope that helps.

Thanks, that's pretty much what I had resigned to doing, & yes I have that same tank. I decided to chuck that tank for another, so I installed a 12oz "normal" seamless Sullivan tank in it's place.
Thanks for the reply, wish me luck!
