need info for plane

That plane looks like a ultra sport 40+ Looks be a chinese knok off because I don't think the Ultrasport came as a ARF. Had one some time ago and was a great flying plane with retracts (A option in the kit.) Even the covering matches the Ultra sport. If it flies anything like it it should be great. Looking at the seller, He has all kinds of knockoffs of other planes like the Sig 4 star Sig rascal and a stick in the H9 Ultrastick sceme. I might put in for this one at some point to see if it ccompares to the US 40+ Miss that plane but have to much to build to start another kit.

I just looked at the completed listings on this plane and they are going for around $60 plus shipping, I don't think there will be any parts available but for the price it might be a nice beat on plane.... I have a Webra speed 50 and a couple of OS 46's not doing anything so this is tempting....

I had a the ultrasport 40 plus it was a great plane. I wonder how well the arf knockoff would fly. If its the same airfoil then it will. I liked mine and it wasnt all that bad to build either.

Wow, I looked at this plane online as well as the sellers other items. I spotted the following knock-off's:
Great Planes Ultra Sport .40+
Great Planes Rapture .40 (also sort of a knock of Sig since the called it the "Four Star Bird")
Sig Rascal
World Models Ultimate .40
Hangar-9 Sundowner
Hangar-9 Ultra Stick (covering scheme anyway)
Great Planes Big Stik (There are a lot of Stiks out there but they seemed to have "borrowed" the picture from the Tower Hobbies site)
These are just the ones that jump out at me. As tempting as that US-40+ knock-off is I just can't support a seller who rips stuff off like that.

I tend to agree with you Chuck W and if GP came out with a US40+ in ARF form I would grab one in a second, However they don't so I keep debating this and for the price I might just do the unthinkable on this one. It however won't be a US40+ by any means but could be a nice toss in the car and fly on the not the greatest weather days like my old Dazzler was until it finally met it's demise last fall. and this could be a nice beater replacement since there is no time to build as of late. If I do it I will give a full review, However the seller should have just put different covering scemes on these planes and nobody would have known the better. except for the US40 the rest are all different enough to not be copies with there own sceme and for the Ultamate, That one might not be a copy because WM gets theres from china also and might even be the ones that didn't make the QC check for WM. Gotta love how they do it in china. no rules and cheap labor.

Its amazing that China can produce ARFs at such lovely prizes, guess they can when no R&Dis involved and also there is no need for A&P budgets, not to forget the profits for being a capitalist.
So now you all can guess how much an ARF costs from the factory!
