Default Seagull extra 260 180 gas conversion

As the topic says I got my seagull staring at me getting the conversion stuff laid out. I bought a gas filler valve a gas tank stopper and replacing the plastic clunk and vent lines through the stopper with brass lines and 3ft gas fuel line. My question is the fuel line is 3/16" ID this fits the tank filler valve and the 1/8" brass tubing nice and tight but will not fit the tank clunk at all. Did I buy the wrong size ID should I of bought 1/8" and had to use tywraps or something to help hold it on?

Sorry if this is a repeat I swear I read this before about hose barbs but couldnt find it through the search function.

Default RE: Seagull extra 260 180 gas conversion

Rather than using a tie strap I would get some thin wire and twist it around the tube tightly. I am afraid that with time te tie strap may deteriorate with the gas . I would also solder some solder over the end of the brass lines ,that will make it harder for the tubing to come off. Hope that helps. Doc.....
