I've made a big mistake..... When CAing my flaps on my US40 I made too big of gap [1/8 inch] can I release these with debonder or do I have to cut them??

Unfortunately (in this situation) a c/a hinge is like a wick for c/a glue. The glue works it's way all through the hinge then seals it so it will not absorb anything else when the glue dries. I don't think the debonder will stand a chance unless the entire trailing edge is submerged in the stuff. Better to carefully trim the hinges flush with the t.e. and start again with a slot machine (my choice) right beside the original slots. My 2cents.

Probably easier to cut the current hinges and rehinge with new CA hinges right next to the old.

You might be able to get away with just sealing the hinge line with clear ultracote... or tape.

I've done this with nylon pin hinges, but probably wouldn't recommend this with CA hinges that have a lot of gap. You may encounter high speed flutter...

FLYBUY, you're best bet is probably to re-hinge at another location.
