Default High Quality ARF + YS 160

I have a YS 160 looking for a new home. I want a nice aerobatic arf capable of slow flight, pattern style flying, and some basic 3d type flying (nothing too fancy!). I have found the aero-works 35cc 260 and the extreme flight 78" extra 300. I am leaning towards the extra 300 because of the available color schemes and impressive video. Does anyone have any input? I am open to suggestions on any plane you think will fit the bill.

Thanks!

Mike

You won't be disappointed with an Aeroworks ARF. Top quality stuff.

I second that.

AeroWorks is definitely high quality. And the ones I've done have more ARF things done, like the cowling already mounted.

They're offering a Christmas discount right now, too.

Extreme Flight says the 78" is available in the electric version and the gas/glow will be available soon. The blue/white color scheme really looks nice.

I'm surprised the EF is lighter than the AW, but it's like about 2lbs lighter. I wonder if that's just the electric version's specs. I don't know many mfg's who offer two different versions of the same plane, and that raises a question worth considering. Is that 11lb plane going to handle a glow/gas engine at 11lbs.

Man, that blue/white scheme does look nice, doesn't it.

All valid points! I do really like the color scheme of the blue extreme flight extra. I just don't know if a color scheme should determine which airplane will best suit me. Has anybody flown one of these airplanes?

We've got a number of AWs in this area. But I've yet to see an ExtremeFlight plane. Although, after looking at the color schemes, we might have one around here before too long.

It would be nice to hear from someone who's assembled and flown an EF, for sure.
