Bless my wife, she bought me a plane last year with engine and all. This year she blessed us with a boy, so I do not expect anything big this year, but next Christmas she is getting an RC Truck, since flying is not going so well on the trainer.

I'm getting a Saito 125 that will go into my nearly finished scratch-built Gee Bee R-1/2. I just finished the Smith Miniplane that was under the tree a couple years ago.

Landeck, what engine do you have for that Skybolt? I love bipes and that is my favorite of all bipes.

I am putting an OS 61 SF ABC in it that I have had for 23 years. The original GP kit was designed for that engine and flew it great even though the kit weight in 1-2 pounds heaver than the ARF.

Yeah, a ESM Focke Wulf 190 with retracts. Going to overpower it with an OS 160 2-stroke. Need the nose weight, anyway.

I bought myself four SIG kits for Christmas - 1/4 Scale J-3 Cub, 1/4 Scale Spacewalker, Astro HOG, and Citabria. Should keep me busy for a few years. Oh yea, I also have a SIG Smith Miniplane on the bench about 75% complete and a Top Flite P-47 Gold Edition kit in the box. I love to build as much as flying.

Well,
I got a seagull 78" Edge 540 (SEA26A) last year. This year I got Nut'n, zippo, nada.
The reason?
Hubby ordered from Fusion Models in the UK who had to ship from Aeroworks in the USA (of course, they didn't tell him).

So I've Ebayed myself a Wot's Wot just to add to the collection.

Hello; I just got a new four star sixty last month, so I got a new Laser 70 for christmas. My son asked me what I'd like for Christmas, anything at all, and I couldn't think of a single thing that I need. Since I was all Airtronics, all my servos aren't compatible with 2.4Ghz, so I can't ask for one of those. I got a new FW 190 in July, so that covers the warbirds. I've got a problem!

Why do you say that your servos are not compatible with 2.4Ghz? I can think of only 3 reasons a modern servo would not be compatible with a 2.Ghz receiver:

1. They have the old style Airtronices plugs.

2. They do not recognize the lower votage signal on a Futaba 2.4 receiver. There are very few in this category.

3. They are analog and will not work with the high speed frame rate mode supported by some of the new high end Futaba receivers. In this case just set the frame rate of the receiver to standard.

Except for case 1, they should all work with the JR, Airtronics, and HiTech 2.4 systems and almost all of the Futaba systems.

Hi I just recently purchased the Large Model Tech Super Cub 81" and using the EP conversion since I fly nothing but electrics. I find that there is no way to install/change the batteries without removing the entire wing and struts. Does anyone have a solution for this problem. The easiest fix that I can come up with is to not install the front side windows which are large enough to slide batteries in and out and make adjustments etc. I just don't know how it will fly with the windows open. I do know from many hours of flying the real full size super cub many years ago that we frequently flew with the upper and lower doors open to let the air in ( gets hot down here in Ga. in July). Does anyone have any suggestions?
