I have read and known about it for over a month. They have a review on this plane on Horizon's website.

Received the Hangar 9 twin otter today. Looks like it will be another nice offering from Hangar 9. The plane was packed really well. No damage at all. Will begin the build right away.

Received mine today..ordered from Advantage Hobby. Again, packaged quite well. Only minor damage to the underside of right elevator caused by an internal packing error. The "corrigated" plastic had been punctured by the unprotected music wire from one of the nacelle covers. Will notify Horizon tomorrow. Overall quality looks very good.

Started assembly today..per the instruction book. Using Hitec HS82MG's instead of the JR Sport. Going to use the Spectrum Digitals in the wing, they will be here Monday. Found out why they want 2- 36in servo extensions for the elev servos. One for channel 2 and one for channel 6. The only other method is to use a servo reverser on one of them!

Test assembled the horizontal stabs and the wings, everything is aligned perfectly...nice work Hanger 9!

Glued the nacelles to the wings. Nice fit. I used a couple of old credit cards to help guide the fiberglass over the protruding attachment ribs. I'll post some photos later tonight.

I'll do a little work on the fuse tomorrow.....while I wait for the wing servos to arrive.

Thanks for the video link....it really flys very well! Now, if I can fly half as well as that pilot, I'll be really pleased!

Installed the rudder and linkage cables, nose gear and linkage, and main gear..per the instructions. No issues so far.

Tomorrow I need to remove a pair of E-Flite Power 32's and ESC's from my A26-B to power this baby.

Any more pictures? Love to see some of the inside where servos are, and the nacelles, and all over. I might buy one, and I want to use four stroke engines. What do they say size for the 4 strokers?

I do not think a four stroke will fit. You need 3 1/2" from the firewall to the back of the prop. With the rear carb I believe you will run out of space. The Evolution 36 engine's are a tight fit. I did notice that the servo trays for the throttle servo's are made for a left and right setup. Since both engines are mounted the same, I had to move the tray on one nacell to the other side for the throttle arm to line up with the servo and not hit the fuel tank. Other than that, looks like a winner.

You could go to http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=HAN4610 and download the pdf file of the instruction manual. It has plenty of phots!

Just looked at the manual, looks complicated. INSTEAD!!! I bought the hangar 9 b-25 for a twin engine, I just about ordered it, and the twin otter didnt catch my eye as much as the b-25 did.

An update on the stab damage....Horizon Hobby/Hangar 9 responded to my email and photos of the stab damage and a fit issue with the left landing gear fairing in their usual supportive manner and replacements are on their way!
They are among the best in providing REAL support for their products! Their goods sometimes cost a little more than "competitors" products...but you get what you pay for!

I couldn't agree more. One thing I particularly like is that when you have a question or a problem you can pick up the phone and call them and actually talk to a real live person!

Just finished building one and it went together fast. I am puzzled about the elevator like aileron cut outs. Needs a second channel or a reversing Y harness? Who would designe any plane that way? I wanted to keep the radio programming simple so I went with the reversing Y harness its fun to watch on power up both elevators go oposite each other then both full down before coming back to center. I opened up a couple of 1/2" holes on the lower fire wall for cooling air for the ESC and battery and hope there is enough room in back for exhaust air around the strut and strut mounting hole.

After finishing the build I designed a wing cradle to hold the wings on top of the fuse for transport using the wing tube to hold the cradles until with wings are installed. Long velcro straps hold them on and go around the fuse. The motors hang down in front of the mains bottom side out to keep the profile slim since I carry a couple of planes to the field at a time.
Looking forward to the Maiden but first have to find the balancer plugs for the eflite 3s packs they are a wider connector than my other 3s packs.

Might seem that way initially, Mike, but I looked it over real carefully at Toledo last week and I think it's worth the money. The thought that went into the design, the engineering and the construction/covering are all first rate. Just MHO...

Glass work, engineering, assembly, fit and finish are outstanding. Unlike some less expensive offerings, H-9 and Horizon Hobby stands behind their products and spare parts are available. Yes, it is expensive, however... you get your $$$$$ worth!!
