Default Removing canopy from an Escapade ARF

I got a Great Planes Escapade ARF and i am having trouble removing the canopy, i think the factory glued it on during shipment. Can anyone who has had this plane tell me what you did because if i keep forcing it i'm afraid i will break it.</p>

Why do you want to remove the canopy? Ihave an Escapade and there's nothing that requires you to remove it.

Sometimes if you apply heat very, very carefully, it will soften the glue & you can pull it of fairly easy.

This is my first ARF and i am so new to this, i thought you needed to remove the canopy to place in receiver and fuel tank and other electronics.

You have to move it forward to release the hooks in the back. Look from the bottom toward the back of the canopy and at either side. You should see two small slots with white hooks coming thru, make sure these hooks are forward enough to pass thru the slots. If they are then glue is holding it somewhere. Good luck.

I had the same issue. I couldn't figure how to remove the canopy to install the gas tank etc. The instructions don't say how to do it. Your answer was very helpful.
Thanks
