What is the all up flying weight of you DP Edge? Please tell what equipment you have on board. I have a ZDZ40 that I took off a DP extra that needs a good 3D home. Tom

My friend has this plane and it weighs in at 15 pounds. Here is his setup

OS 160 FX with Bisson pitts muffler.
Hitec digital servos. 1 on each aileron, 1 rudder, and 1 elevator. Pull-pull on rudder and elevators.
TME smoke pump with 12 ounce smoke tank and 600mah battery for smoke pump.
1650mah 6 volt receiver battery.
30% lifelike pilot figure.
Mejzlik 18X8 prop.
CG set at 5" behind leading edge of wing. the manual says 6" behind leading edge but was WAY to far back.

Plane flies great!!!

Kelly, boy you must have done some lightening!! Or maybe your scale isn't too accurate.

We weighed this one on a certified scale. I sure don't know how yours came out the same with a heavier engine, and lots more servos and pushrods.

Or maybe you just got a lighter airframe.

Not sure, it is what it is. Weighed things piece by piece, on a digital scale, accurate to the gram. Maybe I got lucky. It does fly very light.

That sure is nice to have one that flies good and comes out light.

Good luck with your edge, and ENJOY!!!
