That's on purpose so that combined with right thrust the spinner is centered on the cowl.

Ok guys I have the aresti with the 61bb tt pro all dialed in!The plane originally had a 61bb TH but the plane wouldn't idle down very well. The TH produced some pretty impressive #'s.The plane was clocked at127mph once,119 mph three differnt times.the fuel used was 15%Omega,11+7APC & no baffles in the stock muffler. The TT doesn't seem to wind up as well but still very impressive.Got alot of pull to the left at first put in alot of right trust.Solved the problem. It also needed some down trust to get the plane to track better inverted!

What is the all up weight of that configuration? I would imagine the power and speed are impressive, but does it effect the general flight characteristics? ie. easily stalls, snaps etc.?

Iactually have not weighed the plane. It seems the only problem was the right and down needed to be adjusted. Also knife edge has to be at a higher rate of speed. So some manuvers, four point rolls, look hurried! Other than that I would say the plane flies awsome.

Scott, how much down thrust did you have to put in. I think I have the right thrust problem solved, but I haven't put any additional down thrust into it. I have been slowly adding rear weight, almost two ounces, and it is begining to snap, so I don't think I will add any more rear weight. I never thought about down thrust.

Currently I am running a Tiger shark .52 and it has been getting better and better. I tached an apc 11-7 at 11850 the other day. It almost has unlimited vertical, but not quite.

By the way, the plane has been great so far and everyone at the field loves it.

Scott, Mojo, where is your CG?

Starting at the forward recommended location, it would only hold KE at high speeds. I replaced the brick of an engine mount to move it back to 3-3/4 but haven't flown it yet.

Inverted used to take a lot of down elevator. I'll see how moving the CG back helps. Might need some down thrust, too.

Thanks for the info.

bgi, not sure, but I know it is either to the back of the specified location or just beyond. Even back, it still takes quite a bit of down on the elevator stick, so I think I will add some downthrust just to see what happens.

I realy have no clue to what I'm doing, but!!!!!I use various sized washers and add right and down untill I feel the plane tracks well.Fist I fly flat and level and trim the plane in as best as possible. Then inverted (A plane like this should need little or no down input). If I need too much down.Iuse a washer to add down thrust.I then fly sraight and level and pull vertical add full or 3/4 throttle if the plane pulls to the left I add washers to add right thrust. So far so good my Aresti, with a61bb and 4oz of tail weight, tracks extremly straight.Knife edge seems to need some extra speed to perform and looks hurried on the 4 points.
I'm putting a satio 72 on another.I'll let you guys know how that works out.I hope this helps1
