Default GP ElectroStik landing gear conversion?

Has anybody converted the GP ElectroStik (the 52.5" WS verion) from taildragger to nose wheel? I'm considering doing this but would like to find out if anyone's already done it, and if so, was it successful? One question I have is where (in relation to the CG) should the main gear be placed?

Thanks,

Harvey

Where to place the main gear is the probable reason the plane is a tail dragger. I don't see any simple place on mine to add the main gear and linkage. Of course, you could remove the motro and add it there then try and figure out how to install a mount over it and then the motor. The extra weight here would most likely move the CG enough so you wouldn't have to add extra weight. But, this all seems senseless. Maybe someone can come up with a mod that would not add extra weight or a least minimual weight.

jzrf6c,

Thanks for your reply. Yeh, I thought of the CG issue as well but I figured that moving the main gear aft of the CG would probably cancel out the added weight of the new nose gear. As for mounting the nose gear, I figure that I'd mount the steering blocks to the front of the firewall and then add spacers (and longer screws) to the motor mount so the motor could straddle them. (I.e. move the motor forward.) But, like I mentioned earlier, I'm hoping that someone's already tried this and can let me know if it worked or not.

Harvey
