HELP....
Figured someone here could help me out....
For the life of me I cannot get this to work..
I have this multimeter:
http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...D813&hp=search
and I am trying to measure current in mAh.... I have followed the directions, I have read other posts (the post about calibrating your charger) and set the multi up exactly (at least I think it is) the way it should be, but it just won't measure current....
I either get spikes in voltage....or other weird things
Can someone help me out and wlak me through measuring current?
Thanks
Exeter

First, you cannot measure current in mAh.. It is measured in mA. You need to put the meter in series between the battery and the load. Not in parallel as you would to measure voltage. If you have done this already, tried to measure mA by connecting the meter in parallel, you have probably blown a fuse in the meter . . or worse.
Red lead on the meter goes to red lead on your battery pack, black lead on meter goes to the + on motor or whatever load you are using. The other side of the load goes back to the black lead on the battery and you have completed the circuit and should be reading the current.

Sorry...meant mA...not mAh....
Fuse is fine....
Can I measure the current coming from my charger (AccuCycle Elite) TO my batteries?? I have tried but the charger doesn't like it...says the voltage is too high....
will try to rig something to test output of batteries.....thanks!
