I'm replacing the 600MA pack that came with my Futaba with a 1200MA Sanyo pack. Will my Futaba charger that came with the radio be enough to fully charge this new pack? How long should I charge it and how will I know when it's fully charged?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yes it will charge it, just take twice as long as your 600mah pack. However the included Futaba charger is not Delta Peak so it won't shut off- it'll just continue charging. IMO buy another charger that will charge both TX & RX packs with auto detection shut off.

Any suggestions as to which one? I don't want to go overboard, just something that'll get the job done right. Thanks for the reply.

CB36,
Lot's of people are still using their constant current wall warts that came with their transmitters. 1200 mAh / 60 ma = 20 hours. You really can't charge any larger packs but you can charge these. Charge them for 24 hours. Buy an appliance 24 hour timer. Set it to turn on 1 hour out of 24. After your pack is charged plug the wall wart into the appliance timer and you will always be ready to go. The 1 hour charge period will keep your packs topped off. This is very gentle on the battery packs and the packs will last a long time.

Just my 2 cents,

If you want a wall charger that will charge the pack in the normal 13 hours or want a nice higher end charger,
http://rcaccessory.goemerchant7.com/...partment=46347
There are 2 wall chargers listed, 1 is 90 mah output and the other is 180 mach output. The 180 is a bit much for a 1200 pack.
The e-Station 301 charger is very nice and I have been using one for over a month now and it works perfectly and I have not had any issues. Charges Nicad, Nimh, as well as up to 5S lipo's.
