Default Modded Digital Piranha

I just got done modding my digital piranha so that it does 5 amps on AC power. I used parts from a 7 amp switchiong ps with no fan and mounted all inside the case. It is very light and stays cool. Here's the performance on AC (runs on DC also.)

6 cell battery charges all way at 5 amps
7 cell battery charges 80% at 5 amps and finishes @ 4.5 amps
8 cell battery start at 5 amps and finishes at around 2.5 amps with an average of 4 amp.

It looks all stock except is very light. Ilike it so far.

Cool. I'd check the heatsink of your modded switching supply for high temps after you use it for an hour or two at full capacity. Other than that where's the pictures?

Yes, thanks , I have only used it total of 2 hours, but I didn't take pics cause it is all closed up (professionally) and looks all stock.

What you did is basically the same as using a dc power supply right?

I want some more info on this. I have the same charger and would like to be able to use it the same way you are. Pics of inside the case would be nice too.
