I have an eclipse 7 with the standard 8cell 600mah battery pack that came with it. I seem to be having trouble keeping a half decent voltage for more than 3 flights. Does anyone else seem to be having this problem? Is the Tx sucking the life outta the batteries or what? Do I have a bad battery pack? I'm thinking that 600mah is just enough to run the Eclipse and I might to better to buy a higher capacity pack.

Yes I have a Triton to cycle the batteries and I put the discharge to 1.1 per cell but when it did that it brought the pack into the 7v range (according to the info displayed) which ISN'T right...at 1.1 per cell it should be at the lowest 8.8 right? If someone could tell me what settings I should use
Yes I have a spectra which gets warm if that makes a difference. It has always been this way...never really holds the charge well...I get maybe 2-3 good 15 min flights out of it before it's at 10.0 to 9.8

When you are at 10 or 9.8 you have some flying left. With my Prisms and the Spectra, I don't even think about 10. At 9.8 I look at it after a flight. The Spectra draws more power than the regular module. The Spectra info sheet states 180 mah +/- 20. I don't know what the radio itself draws.
Can't help with the Triton.

Doesn't sound right to me. I would suspect the battery or perhaps not getting a full charge. I fly with the Spectra and was not impressed with the performance of the standard 600mah battery (although I could get a full charge). I replaced it with a 1450mah NiMH.
Yes, the Specta module gets a little warm with it is operating.

I also have the spectra Eclipse and i can tell you the spectra does draw a lot of voltage. Your best bet is to get a 1650 nimh batt from radical rc . It will then last for many flights .

Same boat here ... looking for longer run time from my Tx. I just ordered a 1650MAh NIMH pack from Tony at eflightpacks.com. Tony answered several of my questions via email and was VERY responsive (very fast email turnaround).
The new battery was only 26 bucks (31 after shipping). A small price to pay for almost 3x capacity.

Everyone has the problen with Xmiter
batterys. So I made a pigtail outboard
to charge the main battery slow about
250 mil while I am flying nothing like that
beep to scare you. I use a small 12volt with a restor to limit the current and watch the voltage on the Xmitter for voltage and with a switch shut it of when
charge. Of course I fly my elec more than
normal maybe a hour at times. CU
