RE: Doh cant decide on a charger
I have Imax 6b which works well for me, but there's a new one which pugs straight into the mains, no transformer need,
it tells you all you need to know, ie how many amps have go into the charge or out if your dicharging and how many volts in each cell,
I'm no expert but I'm happy with my one

Hmm that triton eq looks nice or that triton2 eq but its 70 dollars more. Do you think the triton2 is worth the extra 70 bucks wonder how much faster it would charge. Also for output it says 1 set of banana jacks guess I would have to make a wire with bananas at 1 end and the traxxas connector at the other?

RE: Doh cant decide on a charger
Most people recommend far more charger than is nessecary for the job , if that's your style then the Triton2 is going to be a great choice. The idea might be so the charger doesn't have to work as hard or one can grow into it.
I tend to recommend just barely enough charger for the job. For yours I guessed on a 3sx5000 battery. I took 5 amp rate x 12 volts = 60 watts and went with a 63 watt charger.
The Trtion JR is DC , the EQ is AC/DC (just a matter of choice) It should be easy to get or make a traxxas lead with banana connectors regardless of what you get. I think the EQ and EQ2 are a bit overpriced.

I just want 1 that works well with nice features. Im thinking about that triton2 eq but 200 is a tad more then what i wanted to spend maybe 170 at the most. So trying to find the best in that price range. Be cool if it came with everything I need traxxas connects would be nice also.

RE: Doh cant decide on a charger
To help keep it simple I would buy a charger from the folks that make the batt's. I have two different style lipo batts now and just found out that I needed to get different balancing adaptor to talk to my losi batt and teamrc batt. What a pain...
PS... I'm not having very good luck with the Losi Charger, found out it did not like my power supply, not sure what to do next other then buy an expensive power supply or wait for the trition charger & get a second balancer?

That's the nice thing about rc stuff. It is mostly universal.
As long as the specs/types are within range almost ANY charger will charge almost ANY battery.

Well ordered the triton 2 eq. I kept looking at cheaper units that were only dc but then I would need a power supply and a balancer and it just didnt add up. Figured I should get it all in one package.

Did you order from Tower? I've now talked myself into one of these and I still expect that I may need trackpower balancer as well? I bought the balancer the other day, but have not opened or used it yet, kind of hoping I can bring myself to wait for this charger to come out?

RE: Doh cant decide on a charger
The Triton 2 is a very good charger, most good quality chargers are DC only. You can buy an AC "Bulldog Series" Power Converter (RSC-30amps 13.6V-14.2V output) ranging 10-100 amps, at either 13.6V-14.2V output. I think a RCD-10amps should be enough. These power converters are rock solid stable!
As far as these balancing chargers go, "it a gimmick to sell you false safety." I have six 2S 7.4Volt Li-po's for my brushless Duratrax Vendetta and have never had any of the six Li-po's off by more than cell #1 6.201V - cell #2 6.203V at custom set voltage cutoff at 6.2V. This is with over two years of running, I can only speak from personal experience here. Since when did we hobby people ever balance our 6 cell NiCD or NiMH batteries? Never!
