Just wondering, to the experienced flyers out there, how often do you get to fly? ( Not counting a SIM ) Once a week? Twice a week? Every decent day?
I would think that after instruction, that I will be lucky to get out about once a week, or once every two weeks for a couple of hours or so. ( due to having small children ). Just wondering.

timnbrody,
I too am fortunate to have a couple of young ones at the house so I don't get to fly as often as I would like to. I try to fly at least once a week if possible. If I'm lucky it may be twice a week. I'm not lucky very often though!!

The wife and my 16 month old son were out-of-town for the past two weekends. I flew both weekends on SAT and SUN, got in plenty of stick time.
The norm is usually twice a week though, if the weather cooperates of course.

I usually get out twice a week, once on Tuesdays where I frequently don't bring any of my own planes, and again on Sunday mornings. Contest weekends and the week before a contest is different, sometimes I fly more then as I'm busy trying to get everything trimmed out and battle ready.

I restarted flying (after more than a year stopped) two weeks ago and since I am on vacation from school, I went to the field every day the weather cooperated. About 5 times a week in these 2 weeks. But I believe that when my vacation is over, it will be rare to do more than twice a week.

Daily doses of park flyer, sp400 wing, or sailplane from my high start.
Once a week on weekends (all day weather permitting)with my Aresti w/magnum .52 fourstroke. Once every couple of weeks with my Alpha (for training purposes.)
Once a week in my Dad's ultralight (T-Bird)

On average once a week, either Saturday or Sunday. Sometimes both, but the there are those weeks I don't make it at all. I only have one plane and no portable charger so I generally get in 4 flights each day I go out. Usually these flights occur over a 3 to 4 hour span. The rest of the time is spent socializing and seeing what others can do with their planes.

Im like all the rest, once a week. I usually only get one weekend off a month due to a rotateing work schedule. So I try to get one day a week in, if it doesn't get rain out.

I go very early, and get my stick time, and then the rest of the day I devote to helping others and the very important BS sessions that are 1/3 of this great hobby, I take pictures ,Ishake hands of people who maybe just there to see whats up, cant tell you how much that time means to me !!!!!

I fly once a week on Sunday afternoon with my instructor. Thats when most guys in the club fly. We are starting a new field that is only 15 mins. from home vs over an hour. Three other guys from work are going to fly there. We are planning to fly about 7:00 pm on tues or wed nights while the days are still long starting next week.

I fly 4-5 days a week for a couple hours a day, but am slowing down here lately. This summer has been great but SWMBO is starting to complain and if Mama ain't happy, Ain't nobody happy!
