Default New Stinson SR 10

Today was a great flying day. Iflew my new Stinson SR 10. One of the more experienced guys at my field checked it out for me and made sure everything was trimmed. Itaxied, took it up, flew for about ten minutes, and brought in for a smooth landing. Well, until the last foot of run. It nosed over a little, but it was really going slow. Practice on the simulator has really paid off for me.

Is that the Parkzone Stinson? I flew mine today too. What an outstanding little airplane. It flys so nice and looks so pretty in the air. Definitely one of my new favorites.

Yes!! It is the Parkzone. The guys at my field are real great. They all came over and just positively commented on how it was built. Iam transitioning from a Supercub LP. Ihad T28 D Trojan and got caught in some very strong wind and lost it. I think the Stinson is a better step up for me

The Stinson just looks so nice doing close, slow flybys, scale-like turns, etc. It is a huge change from the more aerobatic stuff I am used to flying but I like it. Just looking at the gorgeous lines of the Stinson makes me remember why I started liking airplanes in the first place.

Best part is it can be interesting enough for an experienced pilot but gentle enough for a beginning pilot. The thing flys like a trainer or maybe slightly more advanced. Even though it is a tail-dragger it ground handles and lands excellent. I even bought the Top-Flite 110" SR-9 kit. One of these days I will build it.<br type="_moz" />
